OUR HISTORY |
Founded in 1989, Dawson
Manufacturing Company (DMC) was started as a Minority
Business Enterprise in Dawson, Georgia by the current
CEO/President, Bob Trivedi. Dawson Manufacturing is a
2012 Certified MBE by the Michigan Minority Business Development
Council (MMBDC). Dawson is also a
Certified ISO/TS 16949:2009
manufacturer, the world-standard for quality.
|
Dawson Manufacturing Co.
supplies anti-vibration, isolation,
noise-reducing and protective molded rubber and rubber-compound
to metal components for the automotive industry as well as
non-automotive markets. Our primary focus, however, is in
automotive and supplying our main customers - Ford, GM,
Chrysler, DTR/Toyota and their Tier 1 suppliers.

|
In 1993, DMC opened their new Corporate
Headquarters and a modern manufacturing facility in Benton
Harbor, Michigan. This allows Dawson to be better positioned
to service the needs of our customers. We are located only
two hours from Chicago and approximately three hours from
Detroit driving time. We are also served by the Southwest
Michigan Regional Airport located adjacent to our property.
|
DMC has been in business for
twenty years with a proven track record of achieving total
customer satisfaction. Our business concept has focused on
providing our customers with excellent service, the highest
quality products, competitively priced and delivered on-time
using the latest technologies as well as time tested
manufacturing techniques.
|
Summer of 2000 marked the construction of an
addition to the existing facility to expand our
manufacturing capabilities. Since then, several
restructuring projects, corporate streamlining and other
efforts have taken place to give DMC the flexibility to meet
the demands of our customers.

DMC
is working on several new projects including product
launches, improvements to the facility and equipment and
other restructuring initiatives in response to a changing
automotive market. This allows Dawson, in association with
Trelleborg Automotive, the capability of "black-box"
designing, developing prototypes and launching new products
into production in an efficient manner, while maintaining
cost-effectiveness.
